He didn't realize he wanted to focus on the season in July? Why even waste their time and show up if your plan was to do this all along? Don't show up just like others have not showed up. Do like Lebron, Chris Paul, and few others have done in the past which is to just play at the Olympics

cmon now...i absolutely stand by my 26th in the NBA ranking though-

down by 1 with 10 seconds left there are not 5 guys in the league better with the ball in their hands then Kyrie- for a 22 year old that is damn impressive

and so is 2 all star games at the age of 21- and being able to get to the hoop- or light it up from the outside with the same high level of skill....

no way is kyrie a franchise guy yet- but hes definitely a top 30 player in my book

Yeah, this is my feeling. Its one thing to bail out before things really get started, but to bail out after everything started doesnt seem cool.

That was one hell of a title for the thread, but the bottom line is elite players shouldn't be risking their career and 10 million dollar a year salaries for a gold metal. That is something that younger players win or lose should be doing
