Us Dis-Located Fans

Just want to give a shoutout to the members of this board who have made this current run unbelievable and very much enjoyable for us dis-located fans. Living in NY I don't get to see or experience what it's like to be a fan and be living in San Francisco. This board has been my eyes and ears into that universe. Living under the watchful eye of the Evil Empire (NYY) means that baseball became a dead sport sometime Friday evening. I'm sure that FREEPORT22 could attest to that.

This board actually represents the only place that us dis-located fans can go and celebrate. It makes things rather difficult when your favorite team's fan base is 3000 miles away. You all do a great job bridging that gap.

As a fellow East Coast Giants fan, I agree with everything you just said. Thanks a lot San Francisco guys, and post videos and pictures of the celebration as frequently as you can for the rest of us please.

I feel for you dudes, and respect that you're fighting the good fight against the East Coast Bias. Unfortunately for you, baseball is done on the east coast, and now it's going to all be about the Patriots and the Jets.

I am only about 500 miles away in San Diego, but I get the same sense. These boards (this one mainly) has been my corner bar to talk about the G's.

This is a week we will all remember for the rest of our lives, Gents. Let's make it a good memory!!

I attend a university with roughly about 27,000 students in Virginia. During the NLDS I never saw another Giants fan walking around, but I saw plenty of people wearing Braves hats, but like magic they disappeared when the Giants eliminated them. During the NLCS again, there were no more people wearing Giants paraphernalia, but for about a week I saw at least 10 Phillies fans a day just from walking in between classes. There are no Giants fans anywhere near here for me to talk to that know anything about baseball. At least if there are I've never seen them, so thank you guys hahaha.
