They kept him though...Dallas had never really fired a head coach in their history at that time (Landry was the head coach for from 1960-88 until he retired)...so, 4 years later Johnson's team won Super Bowl...and another one a year later.

Not a bad comparison. But the big difference is back then the Cowboys had all those draft picks after the Vikings gave up way too much to get H. Walker. The Jags have nothing like that. Their rebuild will take much long than the Cowboys back in the day.

And Jimmy didn't make a first class ass outta himself his first year in Dallas.

I wonder if Jerry Jones even sent the Vikings a thank you card for what has to be the most lopsided trade ever?
