If Temple is a higher value win or better for SOS, it is because they have fared better according to that particular system's rules. It is not a claim that Temple is a more difficult opponent. With any system, better opponents have a higher probability of greater SOS value but there are no guarantees.

The purpose of any possible rules is to accomplish what the rules value. No rules can guarantee that their values will always favor greater subjective values regarding better teams and more difficult schedules.

We are discussing the veracity of Honors SOS ranking...which does indeed make Temple a higher value win based only on their 5 wins...which as I said, is a shit system favored by fools who are unable to do even the simplest analysis.

If CFB ranked by records, Temple would be better win for that reason. The point with such rules would be to beat teams with better records and not better teams as a matter of opinion. Of course, the argument against ranking by records is that doing so will encourage and reward weak schedules.

So, the solution would be rules that do a better job of encouraging and rewarding stronger schedules. However, no matter how this is done, there is no way to guarantee more difficult schedules as a matter of opinion will have greater value based on the criteria used. Still, what is important that being a better team and playing better competition is an advantage towards achieving higher values.

Alabama in any given year beats more P5 teams than the entire AAC does combined.

Take 2017 for instance, the AAC was 4-10 versus P5 teams that year during the regular season. Alabama was 6-1.

For the entire season the AAC was 1-5 versus ranked P5 oppenents, Alabama was 4-1...so I guess you are kind of right, 1 UCF win is worth about 4 Alabama wins in your delusional mind, because you think you are somehow in the same ballpark. The reality is an Alabama win is probably worth more on any given week.

If the AAC wants to be treated as a P6 it could start by actually winning games against P5 opponents. In 2017 their 4 regular season wins were against 7-6 Arizona, 2-10 Illinois, 6-7 UCLA and 4-8 Maryland. LOL, yes, just as good as any P5 conference, what a fucking joke.
