My assumption is that the practices will be for next year. Not to play the bowl game. Would love to see seniors sit

Considering it's a gift of chance, I'd hope they're in it to win it.

completely agree with that. they might as well use it as a builder for next year, but that would probably be hard for the seniors, i mean no Jano?

also back to no motivation. some are projecting a Dec 26th bowl, you really think some of these kids that Benning said couldn't get up for an undefeated Iowa team are going to want to be at a Bowl game during Christmas. they'd rather be home getting their presents from Santa Clause.

They evidently would rather leave him on the bench anyways. Look how they ignored him in the Iowa game.

Quick Lane Bowl

Riley vs the PAC

"More talent than he had at Oregon St, but same coaching staff.

I'm hoping for that Armed Forces Bowl against Air Force. Nebraska's shown they can stop the run, and it's a mid-major, so I think they've got a chance to get a W there.

No way do I want to see Nebraska take on UCLA. But as you point out, it would be interesting to see how Riley shows what he can do against his old snadbox playmates.

Top 7 teams of the PAC would win by double digits IMO.

Good move. I like how it isn't Eichorst that does the press release, but an underling.

Smart PR move to NOT take the money. But I bet there will be some back scratching going on in the back rooms with the $285,000 the assistant coaches would have made.
Who would have thought that the associate AD of communications would communicate with the media :L

The Foster Farms bowl against UCLA would be the best bowl mainly because it will be played on December 26th at night. Most likely TA will throw enough picks for a loss, but that's par for the course, along with WC Riley allowing him to pass 50 times or so.

Nebraska would have a decent chance to win if TA is limited in the amount of passes he throws to maybe around 20 tops.

Sports Illustrated has.....

Quick Lane Bowl (Dec 28th)
Detroit, MI

California* vs Nebraska**

* - Replacement Team
** - 5 Win Team

This is originally slated to be ACC/Big 10. However, the Pac 12 has enough teams to fill their obligations, with 3 bowl eligible teams without homes.

When I was 11 my family spent xmas in Florida. My dad told me that Santa knows when you leave town and he will bring your presents to where ever you are. And he's a smart guy. So no worries there.

Hopefully Riley knows this.

Well, Benning is a smart guy and all, but he's nuts if he thinks there were guys not up for that Iowa game.

We completely destroyed them in every statistical category. They converted 0 third downs.

Tommy was just a little too amped and wanted big plays, and it lost us the game.

Anyways, they're college kids. They don't give a shit about being home for Christmas.

They want to go travel somewhere and get treated like kings and get a $500 Best Buy gift card. Of course they want a bowl game.
