Agreed. After all of the hype about Sloter in his training camps/preseasons so far, I don't get the hangup with just promoting him to Cousins's backup. They're never going to find out what he looks like in regular seasons games if he's never even warming the bench as the #2, and we know for a fact that a guy like Sean Mannion isn't going to save the season if Cousins goes down. Hopefully they just want the competition in camp to keep Sloter motivated and on his heels.

Great. He definitely earned being paid as our top WR. Plus he's the epitome of a guy you want to stick with the organization for the long haul and retire a Viking, being a Minnesota native, as well as amazing both on the field and off the field. Keeps him locked up until he's 34 at least. Leaves us in a good position to bring him back at that time assuming he's still producing, which I think he will be if he stays healthy, as his success is based more on work ethic and being a master of the fundamentals than sheer athleticism which invariably starts to wane by the mid-30's.

I forget about O'neil. That really doesn't look half bad except Reiff who is average at best at LT.

I saw this story in our local newspaper since I live in Duluth, it would be cool to have that as an alternate. Now I am a young buck (I used to say that in my CBS days). But I would have no idea what colors Duluth Eskimos were (and I am not 125 years old). If the uniforms look anything like the ACME Packers I will puke.
