I hear ya but I’m willing to make that trade. It should expand the strike zone in the end rewarding pitchers who can dot a corner with just a few millimeters of the ball.Robo-umps are being used in the minor leagues this season. If they come into the majors, the home plate umpires will have to abide by the calls they make. Pitch framing will be a lost art.
I will too. I remember a game in which Alex Kirilloff was called out on strikes with the pitches missing the strike zone by at least 5" I believe it was in Dodger Stadium and the home team announcers said "They just made this game a lot tougher on a young player like him."I hear ya but I’m willing to make that trade. There are a lot of loser assholes that would cry to the courts and cry to the police if anyone actually punished an umpire. No they basically have no reprecussions.
And im not even talking termination. Like when they have an objectively bad game where there are repeateded missed calls. Nothing happens. They dont sit a week or anything. Just right back at it, every single time.
How does this guy even have a job anymore? He's the worst umpire in the game, IMO.
How does Umpire Scorcards determine the true strike zone? Do they use the box on the TV broadcasts? While those are a good broadcast tool, they are not accurate. The CF camera is off center and it assumes that the zone is 2-dimensional (and I question how they determine where the pitch crossed that plane anyway).
Another Veteran ump just embarrassing the profession. The only thing good about this card is that he was consistently awful.
Never a good thing when you are 66% on called strikes but score an above average consistency rating.
Literally means you just fucking suck at your job.
