I hope all teams black ball the guy. I'm surprised the Chiefs haven't dropped him yet. There must be financial reasons. Or maybe they think a team will offer something for him.
He's a $2 million hit against the cap this season and an unrestricted free agent next year. This act is going to cost him $60 - $80 million when all is said and done.

Simple answer is probably it's the freaking draft and that requires a lot of resources.

There is an argument to be had for redemption for people who genuinely want to be better men but it does seem that the smart play is to just avoid these guys in the first place.

There's giving guys 2nd chances, and there's pulling a Bengals, Dorsey/Chiefs and just flagrantly exploiting it for cheap W's. At some point it's not a carefully considered 2nd chance, and instead not giving a fuck.

I am not as sold on him as some are, but if those flaws are oversold, he's gonna be an issue for teams.

I'd rather they double and triple down on defense (mostly CB and S) than mediocre WR prospects with how the draft fell yesterday at DB for the most part.

Better to eat that bullet. Andy Reid/Mahomes won't be easy cats to keep down regardless of the talent level for the most part.
