Two of our division opponents just got a little weaker.

The Packers traded Ha-Ha Dix to the Skins for a '19 4th round draft pick. Not bad considering this was Dix's walk year and he made it pretty clear he was not going to play again for them. Still, he's a damn good safety and it makes the Packers that much weaker on D.

The Lions traded Golden Tate to the Eagles for a 3rd round pick in '19. Tatel was in his walk year as well, altho he wasn't adamant about leaving after this season. He was leading the Lions in receptions and total yards, as well as tied for the team lead in TDs at 3. This benefits us tremendously, at least in the short run.

Sort of pertaining to Detroit. The jury is still out. This frees up a bigger role for Golladay - who has looked damn good.

Yes, maybe this is one of those careful what you wish for situations, but at worst this nonetheless leaves the Lions with a lack of quality depth at the wideout spot. And I do like Golladay, but it sure seemed like Tate was always catching a chain moving or TD scoring pass on us. All in all, I'd call this a plus for our team.

Good news for us. For now. Both going to what may be playoff teams we could possibly see later.

Bodes well for the short-term. If they can turn those pics into something decent then we won't be in as good of shape considering we're short on picks for the next couple seasons.
