Ummm bud grant at least got to the Super Bowl. Gardy has 1 one series.

You realize in 06 the twins WON the division right? Yet the Tigers beat the Yankees(who Ron always gets beat by) then swept those same As before make the World Series. And you compare him and Gardy? Really?

Case re-opened!! (Since it's my courtroom, I can bend the rules.)

Yes, the Twins had "good" teams in those years but if you're telling me that Mauer is a "big-game" hitter I need to send you to Fox to get yur' butts handed to you. Joe is a pitter-patter hitter, that's it. The A's were just as good but no one except them believed it. The Twins players folded like everyone else in the playoffs until the Cards won it all. Accept it and move on. You should really have been calling for Jim Leyland's head in 2006. He had the best team in the AL and the Cards pimped him easily. You're bummed because the Twin lost and you need to blame someone. Blame the players, they were on the field, not Gardy. I watched those games too and they were never able to seize the momentum. That's their fault. The longer the other guy stands toe-to-toe with you the greater the chance he knocks "you"out.

Modern teams are created in the F.O.'s, not by managers. The manager (Gardy) writes the lineup, decides when to pull Worley for Matt Caps, and then settles in to watch another blowout. For Girardi he watched Sabathia throttle the other team until the 9th, then in came Rivera. If you can't see the difference in the two teams then just sit in the stands and call players names. Me & PC are beyond that.

You guys are too young to remember the Vikings in their "glory years." They got their arses kicked in the SBowl four times! That was all Bud Grant's fault? I know you guys will argue differently but you can't have it both ways. I'd rip your liver out in a courtroom the way you guys support you positions, trust me. Furhtermore, only one of the four teams that beat them failed to win multiple SBowls (KC), the Vikings have been pretenders ever since and they changed coaches over and over. It's the ownership fellas....either you get it, or you don't.

Yes,yes....the court is still in session! Sheesh!!!

You aren't making sense at this point, you keep comparing Gardy to other managers and coaches but have failed to show why he deserves to continue as manager of our Twins. Not to mention you are comparing him to a manager who has actually won something, Gardy's name shouldn't be mentioned in the same conversation as Jim Leyland. When we use facts and not opinion it's a no brainer, he's done nothing, even when he had great teams he didn't get them ready to play, his teams came out flat every year and they were scared of the Yankees, it's the managers job to get them passed that but Gardy himself is afraid of them. Even as a fan sitting in the stands or watching on TV you could see they were afraid and did not believe they could win.

Remember you said this is a corporate business at it's highest level, all the more reason to get rid of a guy whos never won anything.

Your final sentence is exactly what I said yesterday about The Red Sox's John Henry. He did get rid of "everyone", not just the manager, as you have always advocated there and here about the Twins. That part of this debate is now mine. You should read your opponent's words more carefully, Keist.

The Twins players were just like all the others who eventually got beat in the playoffs. They lost to better players, not mangers. Albert Puljos is not a pitter-patter hitter like Mauer, these men were the premier hitters for their teams, it was No contest. Albert's team beat everbody. Joe, and Morny, and Baker, Slowey, Pavano, et al, got to the doorstep and failed, just like the Vikings. The Tigers were better than the Twins, they made it to the WS, the Twins didn't. You somehow identify with the Twins and Vikings as if you were on the team. Stand back and understand that they had their at bats and innings on the mound to beat the other guy and they failed. Either you get it or you don't.

Case closed...you and I have been here before and you lost then too.

What does Albert Pujols have to do with Gardy and the Twins, stop talking about other teams and players and talk about what Gardy and the Twins have done, you continue to use opinion to try and prove facts wrong.

Show me where you have ever beat me in anything, I believe our last conversation was much the same, I used facts and you used opinions. Same result too, i'm right and you are wrong, get used to it, as long as you try to pass off your opinion as fact you will continue to lose.

Yeah, they won the division and then got beat by a better team than them. There are 3-division winners in each League. 5 eventually are always eliminated by their own inability to beat the other team when they needed to.

It's up to the players on the field once the puck is dropped. I am contending that the Twins players were not as good as everyone else, to the point that a hit & run here, or a stolen base there, would not have made the outcome any different. Similarly, the Vikings lost all four times, it was never close. In the Miami game Larry Csonka knocked the Vikings around like pinballs and Bob Kuchenberg threw Jim Marshall around like a rag-doll. You can't have it both ways. It wasn't Bud and it wasn't Gardy. It was all on the players. Always has been, always will. P/s - The World is round, not flat. If you need an audience for your misguided beliefs, try Fox. Might I suggest the name Muttbucket? (Now where did I come up with that name??)

Three guys recognized with awards on a TEAM doesn't guarantee wins.

On a team that WON 96 freaking games.

How come when the Sox and Tigers get in the playoffs they beat the Yanks regularly?

Hell even the Indians in 07 won a series.

Gardy hasn't won a playoff series in 12 damn years. That is unacceptable for any franchise.

Players have come and gone, Gardy has always been there. It hasn't worked. It is that simple. Any objective person can see that. Time to try something new.

Ownership, ownership, ownership! Stop delivering newspapers and get a degree in Business Admin. The owners hired Gardy and Terry Ryan and Bill Smith, those three didn't hire themselves, and they won't fire themselves. Conversely, Sears & K-mart aren't disappearing because of a store manager. You are priceless in not seeing this! Have you got a twin on Fox? No, strike that! I should say, "I met your Twin brother over on Fox!" Say "hi!" to him for me, I can't because he's kicked-off here (again.)

Case closed (don't try to bait me out of my lair, I won't fall for it!)
