Yup & yup, PC! We'll soon find out. Snow gone up there yet?? We didn't get much down here again this winter. Darned Global Warming!

That global warming seems to be doing wonders for you a-holes down there! lol

Been getting better temps as of late but still some snow on the ground. Hopefully not too much longer and we will be done with our thawing, melting and slop. Good news is there wasn't as much snow this winter so the flood shouldn't be too bad this year. Less snow was nice but damn it was a cold one. One of the coldest ever I heard. :smow:

Someone's gotta live down here and someones' gotta play on the golf courses, catch all the hungry fish out there, and go to the Twins games. It's a "biach" but I volunteered for it and was accepted. Lucky me??

Speaking of the Twins, I went to the game today vs. Pittsburgh. Same old lackluster team as last year, complete with the 2013 Spring debutante, Aaron Hicks, cranking one out, but there are still holes all over the place again. Without trying to be a "downer" I see last place again this year unless the Sox completely melt down. The Twins are still my team through thick & thin, however. It's in the blood!

The remodeled stadium is way too cool! The OF is completely encircled with a big, spacious, promenade complete with food kiosks and two big tiki bars. There are drink-rail seats encircling the entire promenade where you sit right at the edge of the top of the OF fences. There are actually 4-tiki bars out there. One each on the 1B and 3b lines where they meet the OF fences. Then the two big bars in RCF and LCF. This place is built for partying! Oh yes, there are lots of new bathrooms out there but they don't have tubs or showers. Why are they called bathrooms??

Hope to see you down here one year! Bring a snow shovel and we'll put it in a glass case asking native Floridians to guess what it is. The answers might amuse you!

Then I guess it comes down to not enough Ca$h. Ervin kind of lucked out on the Braves having such an SP emergency. Don't think he would have been paid as much otherwise and would have been SOL.

Toronto also offered 14 million. He went to the Braves since it was an NL Club and wanted to impress clubs again so he can try again for a long term deal more than likely. The fact it might contend is a bonus for Santana too.

For sure. Just like every ballplayer, he wants that ring. I think he could be in for a big year in the NL.

Sounds like Pinto is making some noise at ST. It sounded like they were wanting to send him down to ensure he would get regular playing time which is understandable but I am hoping they just keep him with the big club and have him split catching duties with Suzuki.

He should more than just split he should play everyday and let Suzuki give him rest.

As for the Perkins signing...fantastic. Love Perk.

I had MLB Network on early this am before work and the Twins / Cards game rerun was on. I saw Bartlett get his first rbi of the Spring and his first hit since 2012. I'd say he ready to go and I don't mean North! Who signed this guy, anyways? Gardy??

While I'm at it, I see that Worley is being "shopped." I'd start the ads in Bulgaria if I were Gardy, provided Bulgaria is still around. If the Twins outright released Worley last Summer, why would they bring him back to ST? Hell, why not look up Nishi, maybe he's learned how to play baseball by now. He owes the Twins 9-million dineros, make him work it off.

There's that darned Gardy again, for ya', screwing up the Twins with his trades, etc. What does the GM do on the Twins, anyways??

I heard Vanimal cleared waives and went to triple A. Guess nobody wanted a piece of that. Can you blame em?

At least Nishi was bold enough to give some of his salary back since he was a big-time bust.

Gardy runs everything and makes all the trades. Everyone knows that buck.

Silly me!!! I do remember someone telling me that about Gardy a while ago. I guess my problem is that i just don't "lissen" very well.

Now don't get mad at me like that other guy did when I brought this up, but if Gardy does everything, why do the Twins employ and pay G.M. Terry Ryan? I still can't understand this.

I did hear something about Nishi offering to return his dinero to the Twins but I never heard if he did. Nishi was a good person and I'm surprised he didn't commit Harry Carey for failing so terribly in MLB. Can you imagine the demons in his head at the end. It would be like getting kicked-off all kinds of web-sites when you are telling everyone how great you are. Can't imagine the shame...can you?? Can anyone???

Twins were rained-out today and I took the day off to go with my friends, oh well. That's two rainouts this Spring. None of us can remember this ever happening because it seldom rains this time of year.

Hate to say it but.....the Twins look awful again this Spring. We were hoping down here fora .500 this year from them, now we hope they don't do worse than last year! What has happened to this franchise? I know, I know, it's all Gardy's fault (stupid me.)
