Too late. Ervin to the Braves. Didn't want the one-year deal Twins were offering.

Yup & yup, PC! We'll soon find out. Snow gone up there yet?? We didn't get much down here again this winter. Darned Global Warming!

That global warming seems to be doing wonders for you a-holes down there! lol
Been getting better temps as of late but still some snow on the ground. Hopefully not too much longer and we will be done with our thawing, melting and slop. Good news is there wasn't as much snow this winter so the flood shouldn't be too bad this year. Less snow was nice but damn it was a cold one. One of the coldest ever I heard. :smow:
Actually they offered a 3 year deal in the 30 million range according to MLBTR.
Then I guess it comes down to not enough Ca$h. Ervin kind of lucked out on the Braves having such an SP emergency. Don't think he would have been paid as much otherwise and would have been SOL.
Toronto also offered 14 million. He went to the Braves since it was an NL Club and wanted to impress clubs again so he can try again for a long term deal more than likely. The fact it might contend is a bonus for Santana too.
PC - I see that Glen Perkins inked a 4-yr. deal with the Twins. What do you think about this?
I like Perk. Would love to see him stick around to close out games.
I have to agree. He's hit his stride as a reliever.
Some thought there was no way in hell he was the answer.
I won't mention names but I think you can guess bucky...![]()
Sounds like Pinto is making some noise at ST. It sounded like they were wanting to send him down to ensure he would get regular playing time which is understandable but I am hoping they just keep him with the big club and have him split catching duties with Suzuki.
He should more than just split he should play everyday and let Suzuki give him rest.
As for the Perkins signing...fantastic. Love Perk.
While I'm at it, I see that Worley is being "shopped." I'd start the ads in Bulgaria if I were Gardy, provided Bulgaria is still around. If the Twins outright released Worley last Summer, why would they bring him back to ST? Hell, why not look up Nishi, maybe he's learned how to play baseball by now. He owes the Twins 9-million dineros, make him work it off.
There's that darned Gardy again, for ya', screwing up the Twins with his trades, etc. What does the GM do on the Twins, anyways??
I heard Vanimal cleared waives and went to triple A. Guess nobody wanted a piece of that. Can you blame em?
At least Nishi was bold enough to give some of his salary back since he was a big-time bust.
Gardy runs everything and makes all the trades. Everyone knows that buck.
