Pohlad supposedly gave Curly Carte Blanche with the budget.

So if this fool messes this off season up I hope he's canned on the spot.

Still no idea what we're gonna do with our rotation. Paying 3 guys huge money and maybe one of them deserves a spot.

 Hicks traded to the Yankees for a catcher...

I'm not really understanding our offseason.

The only way it makes sense is if we are still looking for a Plouffe deal and freeing space to get Kepler up.

If this is so Sano can play OF then Ryan should just be thrown in prison.

I assume Murphy will split time with Suzuki to start and if he takes off could begin to see the bulk of the starts at catcher. Which would be nice since Suzuki has been slowing down at the plate and Murphy being only 24 years old would likely be more fit for the time behind the plate. Murphy hit .277 last year for the Yankoffs and I'm not sure any Twins catcher has had an average that high since Mauer.

Of course as a Twins fan though, the first assumption we can all make is that Hicks will now blow up as a superstar for the Yanmees...

Worth a look for sure. I remember a similar situation a couple years back when this guy called Kazmir wanted to comeback...

Well, there is a big difference in age, but the Twins have a history of taking a flyer on a guy, only to find him out performing expectations.

Additionally, it will give @mr.hockey4242 one more reason to question the Twins' front office! :dhd:

I don't know what this says, but it was attached to the picture:

Hemos encontrado donde fue que se vió por última vez el palo de Miguel Sanó.

Miguel shutting down winter ball to work on conditioning for move to outfield...

I'm in favor of it, if it gives him a regular spot in the lineup.

EDIT: First link is supposed to be to CBS Sports...

if that doesn't work, Twins: Miguel Sano ends winter ball to focus on outfield prep

Hes going to be one of the biggest OF of all time. Awful move.

We still havent signed any relief pitching. TRADE Plouffe. Its simple i dont get why our GM doesnt know the sport hes paid to know.

Yeah... my concern is for potential injury, not playing his natural position. Problem is, what are you going to do? They got that Korean now. And unfortunately... Mauer is a fixture at 1st.

Sano 3B and Korean DH assuming he doesnt go full Nishioka.

Trade Plouffe. Its the easiest and smartest move. We need lefty bats anyways.

Just learned Michael Cuddyer retired the other day. Classy guy and consummate professional.

Be nice if they could find a place in the organization for him, if he's looking for one... or at least have him back for a home game this summer.
