Talk about hopeless. You literally celebrate every move the Twins make and look where it's gotten us. All that proves is you are a dumbass and a homer.

You don't have anything to refute what I say because you know I am right. You are pathetic and it's fans like you that allow Terry and the Pohlads to get away with not spending and losing.

How are you actually satisfied with the direction of this team?

Please come back with something constructive about the moves this team has made. I would like to see that you are capable of a rational thought.

The Twins have historically spent around 55% of revenues on player payroll (which is around average). They can't chase after the big name pitchers that are looking for 5 year deals. A long term contract coupled with an injury is devastating (see Mauer and Morneau) to a team like the Twins. They HAVE to rely on development, and then making the splash when they can (reasonably close).

Realistically speaking, what more can you expect? They found gold in Hughes last year, but struck out on Nolasco, while May and Gibson weren't quite ready.

This is a pretty potent lineup... top 10. Second to last in pitching and a middle of the road defense... if they had just given up 1/2 run less per game, they probably would've been around .500.

Let's see what the coaches have in store for this season.... then attack next winter. Even still, if Hughes can continue his performance, and Nolasco begins to earn his contract, this team could be contending within the division.

One concern that I do have, is any regression by Suzuki... his performance last year was unexpected.

Saying that we won't offer these guys deals and what not is very true. We won't do it. But that is the frustrating part we won't, not can't, it's that's we won't. Heck it's why Hunter got away the first time or Johan etc.. The only person we spent on was the hometown boy. We have very wealthy owners. It's why we actually had a payroll over 100 mil that one year(ironically its when we fell apart but that's a different story).

I mean look how much we gave out to Nolasco an average national league pitcher. Shit, we gave Pelfrey 6 mil a year. That's the part that is annoying, we waste money on crap. So while a big name guy may cost more at least you are getting something worth it.

This team will eventually be good by default assuming Terry doesn't sell away all our talent. We have an abundance of offensive talent. It's about hopefully Gibson developing, maybe May. And waiting on Meyer(better be this year) and then Berrios and Stewart.

Even the pitching has great outlook but so many ?'s and waiting. Berrios(forsure) and Stewart should both be real solid but again it's the long waiting process.

It's time to go out and make a legit move. And also call up the youngsters. I mean because we waited they both lost years with injuries. Other teams call guys up quickly.

It's annoying. At least Gardy is gone though so he can stop dickin around Arcia.

I'm not too worried. If he declines then hopefully Pinto's defense can be serviceable because the guy can hit. That's why the Suzuki resigning was kinda meh.

But he's here now and his ability to put the ball in play is key. Having him in the 8 spot in my suggested lineup wouldn't call for him to do much.

So I guess Torii Hunter is a homophobe?

Anti-Gay Bigot Torii Hunter Calls Reporter "Prick" Four Times

Hey, some people are afraid of heights, some are scared of spiders and some are terrified by gay people.

Whatever, as long as he belts a bunch of HR's I guess I don't really care. I just hope there aren't any gay guys sitting behind home plate razzing him because he will surely make an out every time.

I also see they are meeting with Bret Anderson's agent. His stock is low right now so he could be worth rolling the dice on. If he can get back to old form he could be a high reward guy.

The Twins are making calls on Vogelsong. He might be serviceable enough to make the rotation in Minny, but that ain't saying much. Meh..

I actually liked Liriano but yeah we don't need that headache anymore.

He would toss a couple really good games but then you always knew it was inevitable that he would come crashing back down and give up 10 runs over the first two innings of his next game. It was frustrating. He's a bit of a headcase for sure.

He turned it around in Pitt big time. It was clearly our philosophy that threw him out of wack. I wouldn't have minded giving him another shot under the new regime.

But I wish we would grow some balls like the Sox and actually try to win now.

I think Liriano is better off staying in the National League.

Yeah, the Sox sense weakness in the division and are going for it, i'm impressed...
