Id rather have Floyd than Capuano.

Capuano is another typical soft tosser that probably gets killed in AL. At least Floyd has been an AL pitcher for his whole career(albeit a very average one).

I hear you but Floyd is also coming off TJ surgery and I feel like we have enough of those around already.

Sounds like the Twins are perusing Jarrod Saltalamacchia now with Mauer at 1B. I wouldn't mind having him but could probably get a better deal on a guy like Dioner Navarro.

:yahoo:

I can't help but imagine what the Twins might have done had they simply put Joe at 1B and kept A.J. at the dish. A.J. would still be here catching more games than Joe ever will. Morny could have been dealt for a nice chunk of change to acquire a real 3b man which they haven't really had since G-Man and Koskie. I know, lots of what-ifs.

I hear you there but for me I say screw that douche crybaby Prickzynski. We're better off without him.

Sure his more recent batting stats might be impressive but the way he handles himself on the field is downright embarrassing at times.

Yeah, I hear you too, PC. I don't know why, but I always enjoyed A.J.'s antics. Now, he's just a pipe-dream, anyways, another what-if in Twins history.

Ricky Nolasco? Not a fan.

He could surprise you! After he left the Marlins I kinda lost track of him but he was always durable and wasn't a punching bag for hitters either. If he can give the Twins 200 innings and keep the era under 4.00 he'd be a heckuva an improvement. Those Tommy-John guys sure weren't the answer the last few years. Now it's back to sleep, I ate too much today!

Happy Thanksgiving, PC!!

I hope he does surprise me but from what I know of him he will most likely give us all whiplash watching all those fly balls leave the park.

He does seem to have his good streaks but then he gets pounded a few games.

Hopefully he can figure out how to stay in his groove. He is 31 and could maybe find a stride this year.

Bottom line is the Twins simply only go after "used-car" players, especially pitchers, so we fans are stuck with them. As a fan, I root for them just the same, I know that you are a loyal fan as well, we both got to hope that Rickey becomes the next Pavano 17-game winner. I'd even entertain returning to Twinsville next Summer if Rickey is on a hot streak. I saw him a lot on Marlins TV and in person. He can bring-it once-in-a while and so far I'm 0-1 at live games in Mpls. I need to see a winner, Rickey may be my best shot!!

Catching a game where the Twins win is indeed a tricky task.

You're right though buck, when it all comes down to it you just gotta root for your guys and hope for the best. That's what it's all about and that's part of what makes it fun to follow.

These pitchers with question marks surrounding them that we keep bringing in can be discouraging but you never know when you might strike gold with one and end up with a bargain for some high output. Always gotta hope for the big surprise guy to step up.

Oh, I forgot one thing, Rickey ain't worth $12 million per year, in my opinion, anyways. I simply do not understand why Gardy spends that kind of money on the players he scouts, drafts, trades for, and signs. It's all his fault. Tee hee!!

Yeah, I agree that the price tag is a bit steep.

And yes, it's aaaaaalll Gardy's fault because he does everything. Duh! :laugh3:
