Matsumoto (CAR) clears. PHX puts Prucha on waivers, CHI puts Garnett Exelby on, VAN puts Schaefer on $125 waivers for release purposes.

I want Prucha in an Isles uniform. Hunter scored his first goal last night & had an assist. He also got hurt & will be out for awhile. Besides Prucha can't be any worse than what they've got on the 2 through 4th lines.

Refresh my memory, didn't Prucha have one Jagr induced season and then fall off the map? He always seemed like someone with skill, but could only be about half as good as his linemates. Hey, stick him with Crosby and that's not half bad..

He's already collected at least 3 paychecks, maybe 4 this year. So we're talking about 800 or 900 thousand. Besides it's not like the Islanders don't have the cap space.

Kevin Poulin has been called up in case Dipietro can't dress against Edmonton on Thursday. Which means the Isles won't pick up Leighton.

To be honest I'd like to see Poulin play. He's been great for Bridgeport.
