i dunno...thus far 19.3 pts and 12.3 rbs and 60% from the field and 0.3 turnovers, 1.7 assists, 1.3 blocks per game doesnt seem that bad.

Just for a little comparison-

Whiteside-

13.0 pts, 12.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 70% from the field, 2.8 turnovers, 1.0 blocks, 3.8 personal fouls

You might want to take a look at minutes played. Evens things up awfully quickly and puts several of those compared stats in Whiteside's favor.

not my fault he is too much of a dinosaur to play real minutes in the modern NBA

he had the same problem on the Heat

expensive paperweight.

True but his minutes are never going up if he commits 4 fouls in 25 minutes. So do you want a player that is reliable to be on the floor when you need him or commits silly fouls and turnovers? I think that is the real question, both seem quite productive so far, it's just one is less disciplined.

Well yeah, that would give them nice depth at C. Nurkic would have to work his way back into starter minutes but when he does Whiteside would get bench minutes...I mean 25 mins a game isn't that high as it is

I have to think Blazers will try and limit Nurkic to mid 20's if/when he does return so if Hassan only plays 15 minutes as you state then that leaves roughly 10 minutes for a 3rd C.

you think AT ALL TIMES that Whiteside or Nurkic will be on the court? Thats crazy talk their slugger!



no way in hell that they combine for 48 minutes in any one game. they will NEVER be on the floor together- and there will without a doubt be times when they are BOTH on the bench.
