I guess they mentioned on the broadcast that Landeskog (who did win rookie of the year) just missed the top 50. Still (yes I'm biased), I think there's a little too much Oilers love in the top 50. I don't mind Eberle being on the list (personally I think he's a little too high), but I need to see a little more from RNH and Hall before putting them in the top 50 league wide.

It's because the league/media wants so badly for the Oilers to succeed. To have that many high picks waste away up there has to kill them. They want marketable young players and that's tough to do when they're on last place teams.

Leino has said we will see a different player this year. Why we didn't see it last year I dunno but we will see. Grigorenko has really impressed the coaches and media from what I've heard. We just need to keep him away from Lindy's "system" and he will be fine.
