Yes. Carleton was a pretty good high school hoopster and wanted to play college ball in the hopes of being a pro, but his HS coach was wise enough to convince him that a 6'2" plow horse was not going to play in the NBA and focusing on honing his considerable baseball skills was the way to possibly escape Charlestown, NH.
