I don't think he's going to win the nomination, but I'm rooting for Mayor Pete.

Early on, I liked him, but he's slipping into the corporate mud, and fast. I don't think he's ready for this yet, honestly, as smart and charismatic as he is. He's got to spend more time in public service, listen to a wider range of people than he's heard as mayor of South Bend. Maybe a House or Senate run would make sense for him, and someday set him up for a bid at the White House.

Dang, I was hoping the Final Four was going to be Warren, Sanders, Castro, and Harris. I thought they provided the most compelling range of policy positions, charisma, and competence/experience of the field.

I just hope that whoever it is finds room for the others to contribute. If it's Warren, I would love Bernie to be the VP nom or vice versa. Find a place for Pete and Beto. Unified front.

I think Harris would be great as AG or Secretary of State. And I agree, Beto needs to find his way into a cabinet position. I really think Pete needs to go to the legislative branch somehow, though, before joining the executive.

I'm actually starting to wonder if Harris dropped out now because there's some hints impeachment might move to trial sooner rather than later, and she's one of the Senate Democrats who will be most skillful in that trial, and wants to focus on it.

She's still asking for donations, even in her suspension announcement. She may reenter the race later depending on how long the trial is, and how it's going at some moment.

I bet she has debts racked up by the campaign she'd like to settle up with

I am sure the Attorney General role in a Democrat administration was dangled in front of her too, especially if the impeachment trial does move faster as it is looking now.
