I think the impeachment process is all just a red herring from the D's and they are outmaneuvering the R's.

They are forcing them to pick sides. Either oppose him or defend him.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if this never gets to a vote and they just keep piling on the negative information that comes out of these types of inquiries. It's certainly possible that they gather enough evidence that it becomes a slam dunk, but I believe it's all about controlling the narrative. Stall until the election gets here in the hopes that there's enough negative information coming out that folks simply won't vote for him.

Trump will get 40% with his base.
The Democratic nominee will get 40% of theirs.
That leaves 20% independent/undecideds.
Every time the % of undecideds that poll to impeach goes up, the strategy looks stronger and stronger.

You don’t an impeachment proceeding overshadowing your campaign to get the guy out of there via election so yeah you’re most likely correct.

Walking around my office a lot today and my shoes developed a squeak. Can't have that, there are girls here, so I just took off my shoes and socks. Getting some weird looks though.

You are still an elected official. Why?

Also, since you are a lawmaker, maybe you should become more familiar with the laws, even though the answer to the "why" is pretty obvious just with a little common sense.

Anyhow, Jim, I have work to get back to and you probably have some door to bust down like you're raiding a rival fraternity house.

Tim Ryan has ended his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination, which means I have now learned Tim Ryan was ever running for president in the first place.

Let's put this in terms that you can relate to Jim.

Suppose a college athlete is being r*ped by his coach. Law enforcement would want to do everything they can to stop the r*pist and get as much information as possible in order to prevent more innocent people from being r*ped. In order to get testimony from r*pe victims and to encourage other r*pe victims to come forward and tell their stories in order to ensure the true scale of the r*pists' crimes are known, certain assurances of anonymity need to be given to the r*pe victims and it's really shitty behavio(u)r to try and publicly out them just so you can protect the r*pist.

O-H!

3) These people who had permission asked to be arrested for attending a meeting they were supposed to be in.
Thanks I missed that one. Total grandstanding to get their base to jump off the cliff with them.

A friend of mine on Facebook predicted this exact response, and it amazes me how simultaneously erratic and predictable Trump is.
