Her tax proposal has already been (successfully) used in the United States. She pimps free nothing--she advocates for social programs which would likely benefit the country as a whole, paid for by taxes we should probably already have in place. She knows where to get the money, and the impact of her policy would likely be positive for the huge majority of Americans, in particular those who are underrepresented and vulnerable.

I saw a couple graphs today showing the spike/increase in wealth disparity that arose when tax reforms of the 70s/80s got rid of that high tax rate.

So we should keep voting in millionaires, billionaires, or wannabees who preach the same thing most politicians have for the last 50 years? How's your healthcare costs compared to 20 years ago? Rent? Mortgage? In relation to your income?

AOC doesn't seem perfect but at least she's not the status quo. The status quo is not working.

It always gets me that the would be proletariat (since this is socialism lol) are the ones concerned about the tax rates of the uber wealthy :L

Whats that quote again ??? Fool me once ... no not that one lol ... “Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”

I don't quite understand why anybody would hate on AOC for being who she is. She gets attacked ad nauseum from the right as a scare-mongering tactic with people like Sean Hannity unironically doing things like this:

AOC ran on something and she's sticking to it. It's fine. It's what politics is. Frankly, it's what the DNC and the President could represent had the DNC not decided to force Hillary down everybody's throat and deny Bernie Sanders a chance at Trump.

Anyway, here's the FBI raiding Roger Stone's house for some reason.

EDIT: The reason is obstruction of justice and lying to a grand jury. I'm just a little perplexed as to why the big show over pulling in his old ass lol

To make Trump go into a 4AM Tweet storm in hopes he might reveal something or corroborate some other piece of evidence they have?

Holy shit.

US - Major airport shutdown because government can't agree on anything, and it's no longer politics just picking a side and staying with it at all costs.

UK - Major airport shut down because Gavin and Colin got a drone for Christmas and are 'avin a laff.

Honestly, no idea which is sillier.

"I don't know why people don't go out and buy their own plane..."

- Wilbur Ross, probably

“I didnt see his comments but he probably meant the locals could work with Boeing and buy planes and then pay later ... like the “mortgagees” do”

The long this goes the worse it will get. I will feel for the folks that are stuck while traveling for work in the US. I am surprised Amtrak hasn't taken advantage of this opportunity.
I feel like the ATC's walking off the job at Hartsfield during Super Bowl week would end the shutdown pretty quickly.
