After some reading, I learn that it's a fictional humanitarian crisis he's invented to "justify" getting his way, and not the actual humanitarian crisis of aggressive imprisonment of families legally crossing the border seeking asylum, creating potentially-permanent trauma to the children who actually survive the ordeal he's ramped up as a "deterrent," so now I'm even madder and that crinkled old rotten orange peel.
