I don't see/understand why this movie was made. I mean didn't it already "end" in the last one?

Some reboots/remakes haven't quite cut it....the Terminator series has been completely botched IMO. Yet, the new Spiderman worked well as even did the new Superman (although the destruction of the city was a bit of overkill). If they let Wahlberg use his sense of humor in the Transformer reboot, I think he'll do OK.

Haven't finished the 2nd one or even seen the 3rd one. I can't stand Shia Labeouf and don't understand the fascination with Megan Fox. She looks like a lot lizard. This one actually looks like it may be decent so I will probably check it out.

When I first heard that Mark Wahlberg was going to be the lead male, I was very disappointed. But, I must say that Wahlberg plays his part very well. The rest of the cast wasn't hitting on much though. The script follows Wahlberg's daughter's life way too much, IMO. Her character just isn't believable at all. A few too many transformers were introduced in this movie. From the first movie, only 4 robots that were in that movie are in this movie. I did enjoy the movie, but there was just too much going on.

Liked it okay. I love explosions and all but at some point it becomes a bit much. I agree, too much going on and the acting was pretty bad. Even for this type of movie. Give it a 3 out of possible 5 stars. Probably won't ever watch it again.

I heard this too. I also heard there's quite a bit of crap like completely useless characters and lazy plot and dialogue.

I'm no movie critic, and even less so when it comes to these films because I really want to like every one that comes out, but fuck, it pisses me off when the filmmakers are just plain lazy and assume we're all so stupid. This isn't a movie about human characters, so if you have 3 or 4 who provide absolutely nothing to the plot or development, or anything whatsoever, you think I'm an idiot for accepting that crap. Michael Bay's infatuation with using braindead bimbos instead of actual female actors is also a big facepalm for me. If I want to see an attractive woman I have many better options than your movie, Mr. Bay. Hell, I can even see most of them naked! Use people who can read a line believably!

I'm still going to go see this because I think Lockdown looks like an awesome character, there are fucking Dinobots!, and I've heard there's a lot more interaction between the transformers themselves compared to other films, and that's what I want to see. The reviews though aren't giving me much hope that this one will be better than the first, which I was hoping for.
