that’s a huge transfer out there. What blue blood needs a pg next year?

unc?
My guess is he ends up close to home..Iowa St may fit him best.

Bruner from Yale would be a great get for whomever gets him . That kid is a player

Cartons final 6 out of HS

Osu
Michigan
Indiana
Iowa
Xavier
Marquette

My guess, if its one of those other 5, is Marquette. Its closest to home of everyone but Iowa and Iowa doesnt fit playing time wise imo

UNC has a 5 star PG coming in. Most blue bloods have a 5 star coming in. Kansas, Duke and Kentucky should all be fine in the PG department. One intriguing landing spot could be Michigan. Simpson is graduating and they don't have an incoming PG recruit.

Just thinking of other teams projected to be good that could use a PG:

FSU
Gonzaga
Michigan State
Arizona(not sure if Akinjo is immediately eligible or not)
Maryland
Oregon

Yeah we got a good shot with the close proximity, previous recruitment and a staff that’s been good working with players mental health(it was a big thing for Markus).

Could be a good thing. Had a preacher say once that "The church may not have any blessed additions to it until there are some blessed subtractions."

Had a teacher one time tell me all kids bless him with goodness. Most when they come, some when they go.

I think Richardson is likely to take over PG duties.

What's Duke's scholarship situation looking like for next year? You have 6 freshman coming in, this would add a 7th. Do you think all those freshman go pro? Carey is a definite. I'd guess Jones as well, but guys like Stanley, Moore and Hurt would be dumb to leave IMO. I don't think I've seen any of the latter mocked in the 1st round. I also saw that Baker isn't transferring.

Towns is a great fet for either team

In his sophomore season he shot 44% from 3 and 80% from the FT line. He also averaged 6 rebounds per game which is pretty solid at 6'7, especially in Duke's case if he's being considered to play the 2.

Duke has enough scholarships, pretty much the chatter is Carey and Jones as well as Stanley are gone, White, Delaurier, and Robinson are graduating

Theres a real shot the Ivy guys wouldnt care about schollies. They didnt get one from their last school anyway and they could maybe at least get academic ones now ( dont even have those on the Ivy, just grants and financial aid )

I'm assuming nothing will come of it, but the kid Bruner from Yale would actually be a good roster fit at Duke.

And not just because he had 17 points (2-4 3pt), 15 boards, 5 assists, 4 blocks, and 2 steals at the Dean Dome in December.

Sounds like Hurt is leaning towards transferring? That caught me off guard

I think he stays although I wouldn’t rule it out. He needs a lot of work in the weight room and his defense is atrocious. Yep, he fits in well here at Duke.

IDK, it worked out OK for Seth Curry; Sean Obi not so much

Curry is a 6'2 guard tho. Hardly undersized.

And my statement really applies to forwards. There are plenty of undersized forwards who excel, but it seems like its tough when they go from mid major to major. Its a completely new adjustment of the type of bodies you face night in and night out.

Then again, maybe its just Alihan Demir PTSD

Yep, sometimes guys just don't pan out as their stats suggested they would.
