I chatted with Charlie on numerous occasions way back then, at the bar in Friday's. It wasn't really chatting though. It was more acknowledgement while we were both having a casual lunch, at the bar, enjoying some tea, etc.

I hate to say something like this after so few games. BUT.........I wanted MM traded in the off-season really bad.

Moreland is a bigger (physically) version of Pete O'Brien. And neither one of em are/were worth a crap.

The George Wright game was the same year that Phil Pozderac single-handedly lost that game against the Giants with all of his holding calls. I remember thinking of George Wright and Phil Pozderac as a tandem for awhile after that.

I have to disagree about O'Brien. His three years in a row with over 20 HRs was pretty good in that time period. Unlike Moreland, O'Brien was almost always healthy. I was glad to have him on the team when he was here.

Sorry, but this is a series, IMO, we should have gotten 3 of 4. Those don't present themselves so often.
