Jets cut OT Antonio Garcia

Pats traded up to take him in the 3rd round last year

Jets claimed OT Antonio Garcia off waivers from the Patriots.
The 85th overall pick in last year's draft, Garcia missed his entire rookie season with blood clots in his lungs, then was cut by the Pats with a non-football injury designation late last week. Garcia is a worthy flyer as a 24-year-old left tackle prospect, but he'll ultimately be a long shot with the Jets

I just read that Dallas is at 19 in waiver order. Its unlikely they get a player they want.

I suspect A lot of guys they will be looking at the hardest won't be subject to the waiver process. They will be FAs immediately

Yup. I think every team, every year is putting in waiver claims for younger guys and Dallas will do the same this year. I assumed we were talking about guys that aren't projects, but more veterans that can help the team week 1 if needed such as a safety to throw right on the field for the first game or an OL if one of our guys isn't as ready as we are told. Those are the only guys I worry about us "missing out on" and I think we will put the $'s up to get them. As far as regular depth goes and churning the bottom of the roster, I agree with you and suspect we put claims in on 3 or 4 guys minimum. Roster will look different next Saturday than it does Monday after initial cuts are done

I'd be shocked if White isnt on the 53. I think the go two QB with eyes on the PS for Rush.

I was rooting for Rush, my best friend went to central michigan, but White seems to be just better. If one stays it should be him.
