Pumped Up Kicks
...and there goes Trey Sermon
Too bad he didn't work out but the 'blame' is on the 49ers for drafting him, drafting him that high. On top of that, trading two 4th's for the privilege to draft Sermon....and there goes Trey Sermon
Looks like he was the player we waived to make room for the IOL we picked up off waivers. Still, Thank God he's gone. He just didn't fit this zone system. I wonder if he can fit a different running system, but something about him gives me Carlos Hyde, middling rotational RB vibes....and there goes Trey Sermon
Lets hope there are no injuries in the defensive secondary, for at least four weeks. Even with JV on IR, i would think they'll add at least one more CB to the PS.Updated Roster (changes in bold):
QB 3 Lance, Jimmy, Purdy
RB 4 Mitchell, Wilson, TDP, Mason
FB 1 Juice
WR 5 Deebo, Aiyuk, Ray Ray, Jennings, Gray
TE 4 Kittle, Dwelley, Woerner, Kroft
OL 10 Williams, Banks, Brendel, Burford, McGlinchey, Brunskill, McKivitz, J.Moore, N.Zakelj, Hance
DL 10 Bosa, Armstead, Kinlaw, Ebukam, Givens, Hyder, Jackson, Omenihu, Ridgeway, Willis
LB 5 AlShaair, Greenlaw, Warner, Burks, DFF
CB 5 Moseley, C.Ward, A.Thomas, D.Lenoir, Womack
S 3 Hufanga, T.Moore, Odum
ST 3 Gould, Pepper, Wishnowsky
The PS:
OL: OG Poe, OT Alfredo Gutierrez, OC Keaton Sutherland
WR: Tay Martin, W.Snead, Malik Turner
LB: Mcrary-Ball
CB: Q. Knight
S: T.Hawkins, T.Gipson
DL: Alex Barrett, Akeem Spence, DL Kemoko Turay
Thoughts on the PS:
It's amazing that we got Turay and Poe on the PS. They could've easily made the 53 man roster.
Knight showed promise at NCB and S. He could make the team next year.
Considering 2 of our LBs are FAs after the year, McCary-Ball is likely on the team next year.
Gotta note that we have zero TEs on the PS at the moment.
Only 1 real center on the PS, Sutherland
No Rbs on the PS. But there are plenty on the market to choose from.
Everything I've read on him says that is correct. Safety and NCB, not an outside CB.My impression of Q. Knight is Safety/NB prospect, not CB?
They're not bringing in Tartt because of cap reasons. Forgot what Chapman said but its related to the cap hit.Everything I've read on him says that is correct. Safety and NCB, not an outside CB.
Maybe our thinness at safety is why there are 3 safeties on the PS.
I have to wonder if the FO will bring in Tartt.
Yeah, D. Johnson, time immemorial. haaaaaAnd right on cue, the Niners bring in Cb/S D.Johnson to the PS. It's really just a matter of time...
And there are still other spots open on the PS. I wonder what we're waiting on.
I don't understand how it could be a cap hit thing with Tartt. His contract expired, so he has no current cap hit, and it looks like he'd be happy to take the vet minimum just to have a job. They're not bringing in Tartt because of cap reasons. Forgot what Chapman said but its related to the cap hit.
Apparently, Tartt isn't SO GOOD that we need him badly, else they'd sign him anyway. Because i can't see that his cap hit is so high that its preventive? Anyway, the contingency at Safety short term is Johnson and Gipson, the mid-term are Hawkins and Knight.
And Trey Sermon has been picked up by the Eagles....and there goes Trey Sermon
