So it looks now assuming they complete trades for Bass and a few others he will have close to 30 picks.

They say that post the last CBA that low cost players will be key, we will see.

Celtics starting 5 make $15M total as it is and they are the youngest team in the NBA once Bass and Jameer move.

Its going to be risky, but he certainly is not standing around twiddling his fingers

pros and cons, but a unique model in these times. we will see

I think the next CBA will be more player and large market team friendly though. The pendulum will start swinging back the other way.

Rule, its a course he seems to be all in on. It could fail miserably. Literally there will be no deal where the Celts are not called with those picks and trade exceptions. They will be the third team for sure.

That young core needs to become a .500 club. If he can spend >$20M for his starting 5, then he has lots of options.

Could he actually trade 6 to 8 picks just for one specific stud?

I haven't looked into it further but I think I saw where they traded for Nate Robinson today.

Thanks Turkey. So Basically, Danny hands over Jameer to free him of Jameer's salary next year. Nate becomes a FA, Danny's total pay roll at $33M for next year with current roster, including gerald Wallace's last year at $10M. That goes away by 2016 and his total payroll is $20M +

Salary dump. If he is prepping for 2016, he could take on a bad contract just for 2015 - 2016 still
