If Cooper is so awful, he should come cheap. I'm not so sure that either is the case.
Not necessarily. When you have two idiots like Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder wanting the same guy, watch out. Their egos might take his price sky high.

Something tells me he still has the talent at 24

Maybe...but does he still have the physical gifts and the mental part of the game?

Maybe he'd throw to more WRs if we had ya know receivers to throw to.

I will admit I have only watched one game this season, but I did see him miss open WRs by throwing poorly and by not throwing at all. I have also read that he has missed receivers quite a bit.

Theres no reason to think he doesnt have the physical aspect. I could see there being a mental aspect that needs a recovery but thats why a change of scenery is good. And mind you it's very arguable hes completely fine and that Oakland is just holding him back.

Smith has been bad no doubt. But this smith is bad so cooper wont help line makes no sense. Good receivers still help bad QBs. Maybe even moreso. We need to make things easier for Smith not just throw up our hands and say aww shucks. And Cooper would be a great fit with Smith IMO.

Though it all seems to be a moot point now with the Dallas news.

You're missing my point. Smith doesn't seem to throw to WRs. And its not because they aren't open. So a great WR can't help him if smith won't throw it to him.

2018 - 51%

2016 - 46%
2015 - 44%
2014 - 48%
2013 - 44%

Those are the percentage of passes Smith threw to non WRs. That is relatively hight but it still means most of the time hes throwing to a WR in his career. Thats a lot of targets for WRs even if it is fewer than from most QBs. And keep in mind Smith has spent most of the last few years with the NFLs 2nd best TE, and excellent pass catching backs (Charles and Hunt) so that is going to skew the numbers at least a little bit.

Point being...yes he throws to non WRs more than most QBs but there are still plenty of targets for a good WR to be a huge help.

Are these % attempts or completions?

The reason why I ask is because I would be curious what his completion % is to his WRs as compared to his peers. Not sure this info is available, but I'd bet that his accuracy on longer throws to WRs is below the norm.

Desperation move. Could work out but pretty risky. Given the potential draft position for both the Skins & Boys a 1st rounder is pretty high. Sure the Redskins have made bad picks in the past, but the mid 1st rounders from the past 2 years (Payne & Allen) are the primary reason for their current success. Remove them from the team & they likely have a few less Ws.

Again this could work out well for DAL, but I am glad that the Redskins didn't make this move if it involved a 1st rounder.

So does Dan get an atta boy for not trumping Dallas' first round offer or will you and everyone gloss this over and continue the bashing of Synder who likely himself never got involved in talks anyway?

All I know is Smith threw a SHIT TON of passes to Kelce in KC every game. Our Reed is not getting targeted nearly enough. This needs to change.
