So I am in a 12 team full point PPR league that starts 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, and 1 FLEX. I am 4-0 in it right now and have the most points because my wide receivers have been awesome. The problem is that I now have no tight end again with Eifert getting hurt. I have Jack Doyle on the bench also but it doesn't look like he's going to play anytime soon either. Normally there would be somebody to pick up off waivers, but it just so happens that in this league there are 25 tight ends on rosters already, so not much available on waivers. Here is my current roster and one of the teams has Zach Ertz and George Kittle, so I was thinking of offering somebody for Kittle but I want advice on who it should be. Now an interesting caveat to this is that right now I am #2 in waivers and Sony Michel was dropped last week, so I put in a claim for him and there's a possibility that I will have him also:

QB - Deshaun Watson, Alex Smith
RB - Melvin Gordon, Gio Bernard, Mark Ingram, Aaron Jones, Marlon Mack
WR - Stef Diggs, Jarvis Landry, Michael Thomas, Cooper Kupp, Cole Beasley, Cam Meredith
TE - Jack Doyle, Tyler Eifert

What would you do? I can pick somebody like Geoff Swaim up off of waiver until Doyle gets back, or I can try and trade for Kittle.

Looks to me like you could move a WR but the drop off from yer studs to meh is quite steep. I think I play the wire.........not like yer TE has been killing it anyway...........

Agree with Sammy.
Another option may be to look for teams weak at QB and offer Smith for a TE.
I'm sure you can find a backup QB on WW and could afford to lose Smith.
Would you want to post the available TE from the wire?

I’m with Sammy, hold tight on trading one of your top four WRs, or maybe offer one of your RBs not named Gordon. If you don’t like that idea maybe aim for a less attractive TE, but someone better then what is on the WW. Kittle a nice TE, doubt the owner likes the idea of trading him.

With the Seahawks putting Dissly on IR, could you pick up Nick Vannett?

Yeah, I think Vannett is available. Cameron Brate is also and with Howard likely to miss a few games I could pick him up if nobody else does. I think I'm going to wait and see if I land Michel and then see who's left at tight end after waivers. I have no problem using the #2 waiver spot on Michel, but I'm not wasting it on one of these tight ends, so I'll have to wait until the free agent period for that if the guy that occupies the #1 spot puts in for Michel.

Brate should work for a band aid after this week. I would go after Ertz, though, if anything. Is Hayden Hurst available? It is possible he debuts this week.

These guys have it right.

You can make due with the scraps at TE until Doyle returns. Not worth trading or using a valuable waiver spot.
