I don't understand this from the Hawks perspective, Hartman was a very good late 1st round selection so you trade him to a division rival in the hopes of landing another good late first round selection?

Meh. Hartman is a 23 year old 3rd liner (could fill in on an otherwise stacked 2nd line) and Nashville's 1st is going to be 25-31.

Also, if you ask me picks never really had much value anyway. A late 1st has always had a relatively small chance of being an impact player. I actually don't see why the Hawks do this. The chance that a late 1st ends up better than Ryan Hartman is not that great. Makes me wonder what the Hawks know about Hartman that we don't.
