I hope it isn't the case but these types of deals may be all that we see.
Lakers need to at least dump a player or two for future 2nds or overseas rights, keep alive that hope of buyout acquisitions.

They are both out for the season so I would imagine they will just waive them.
Why would a buy out candidate chasing a ring consider the Lakers right now?Lakers need to at least dump a player or two for future 2nds or overseas rights, keep alive that hope of buyout acquisitions.
Why trade an asset to then waive the players?

Morey is dragging his feet so that this gets announced as close to the deadline as possible
Yep. No trade and following the Sixers gets reduced from hoping for a chance to contend to a sole focus on whether Embiid can win MVPEveryone is saying the same thing over and over and over again.
Will Morey blink and include Thybulle or will Marks blink and do the trade without him? Seems like that is what this boils down to.
TBH, I think that if a trade doesn't go through it will screw both teams up for the rest of the season.
They are both trading 2nds. Celtics sending cash.
It's possible they might keep one if there is some other player that they were planning on waiving anyway.
How often do we say that?Great move by sac
Moore getting waived by the Magic. 2nd rounder going from the Magic to the Celtics is heavily protected and unlikely to convey.
