Deal just pending physicals. Both lefties tied to M' gone, but I am glad. I want a real upgrade not a clone of what we have.

Wheeler from Mets, Santana from Twins, Stroman from Jays, are all better as far as potential. Archer as well. I am sure I am missing someone obvious. I want a RH SP.

Merrifield for center is still my #1 choice of all hitters. Buxton from Twins would be interesting as long as you understand he hits like Zunino w/o the power but can play CF and fly.

Giles and Harvey might be my least two favorite rumors of all time. When a great team sends him down, you know he sucks. And Harvey is a freaking drama queen. He would hate Seattle making him even more of a head case...plus he sucks!!!

If Merrifield was a guy they were talking about for Healy, then I'd do it. But outside the box, Hanley Ramirez is still available as of now, so if they could sign him to play 1B in late August and not have a worry about no 1B for the one game playoff.

Ramirez is under federal investigation still I believe so he is pretty much looking at playing in the 'pen' league.

Let me add this about Giles...He was one of the Phillies top prospects and suppose to be their closer of the future and they knew to move him in a trade when they had the chance.
