Lotta troof to that.

Here's the formula to rip NU's D.....

Spead em' out and run your regular offense right at them.

Errbody having success with it now.

SDSU normally runs a power offense. Saturday they ditched their TE's and spread the blacksirts out. They still ran the power game tho. lol.

Bo's scheme to complicated for players to adjust. aka "execute".

And that is what pisses me off the worst. THIS IS NEBRASKA DAMMIT!!!!!

Shit, now you got me all pissed off again!

In all fairness, I really wouldn't know how to make one available. It took all of my brain cells to figure out how to download the one I'm using. If this disqualifies me from winning----I understand.

We'll get the pic up for you.

Tell us what you want or put up a link to the pic you want.

Make it good dammit.

I don't know what sad the fact that there is a 2 year proven blueprint to kill bo defense every sat

Or the fact bo to stubborn to realize nothing he's doing works and his defense is wayyyy out dated

Bo knows what's wrong. He's finally saying what everbody outside of the program has been saying. Question is does he have time to fix it?

The time to fix it was Jan 2nd thru Aug 30th.

Honestly I don't think they can coach anything else besides the 2 gap, that and like said we have really bad lineman, the more they play the worse they get

Yeah, I don't know if it CAN be fixed. Stubborn Pelini pissed away 7 months of off-season time where they could have gone and learned from a successful program like McBride did in the early 90's.

Change now could really add ugly confusion.

Regarding not getting off blocks and getting pushed around up front?

Dobson. You NEVER hear him mentioned. Media needs to pitch hardballs in pressers.

If it gets bad, Bo needs to throw John "quick draw" Paps under the bus to buy more time.

Too late for me

The talk of last was two main things
Backup qbs and how bad this defense is

We have allowed 460 yard a game this year

For me he needs to win the conference

I'm finally back in town to watch the sdsu game
Wow Illinois and minny might be tougher games than expected
The fact I have to be lil worried about those games say it all

Is this do-able?

We don't have the ability for animated avi's.

Besides, I'd wear that if I could.

The concept of the game is "not to lose", therefore you want an avi that is embarrassing.

article on ESPN Big 10 Blog, quoting the part I wanted to bring up. bolded the specific part.
Something is wrong. Pelini said it’s a missing attitude.

Pelini discussed it Saturday with former Huskers tight end and current associate athletic director Jamie Williams before the coach roasted the defense in his postgame news conference.

“You’ve got to have a killer instinct,” said Pelini, who was defensive coordinator at Nebraska, Oklahoma and LSU. “In football, no one’s going to give you anything. You’ve got to take it. You’ve got to earn it. If you don’t have that kind of approach, it’s not going to work out well for you.

“Right now, we’re not playing with a type of attitude that you need to take to the field defensively. There has to be a sense of urgency every time you line up.”

The Huskers have endured struggles at all three levels.

Newcomer Randy Gregory at defensive end is a bright spot. Freshmen Avery Moss and Vincent Valentine have played well on the line, but veterans Jason Ankrah and Thad Randle aren’t showing up.

True freshman linebackers Nathan Gerry and Josh Banderas were benched for Zaire Anderson and David Santos in the first half on Saturday. Anderson appeared to play well, but missed assignments continued to plague the unit.

In the secondary, Stanley Jean-Baptiste, with interceptions in every game this year, is a star in the making. The safeties are a different story, especially at the spot next to Corey Cooper.

“They’re playing too tentative,” Pelini said.

The Huskers lack aggression, in general, on defense. Pelini and defensive line coach Rick Kaczenski talk regularly to the linemen about exploding at the snap, initiating contact with the players across the line of scrimmage.

“I wasn’t doing that the first series,” Gregory said. “The defensive line as a whole, we weren’t doing that.”

Gregory doesn’t know how to make the fixes or even what to say to his teammates.

“I don’t think anybody knows what to say,” he said, “but we’ve got to come in with the mindset that we’re going to stop them.”

Others sounded more confused. A couple defenders said they thought the Huskers played well defensively on Saturday. Meanwhile, Pelini described it as “the worst defensive performance of the season.”
yea you only gave up 20 points, but it was an FCS school that also averaged like 5 yards a play. that's not good.

I think everyone that points at Dobson is correct. Absolutely no reason a single one of our DL should be getting beat by an FCS OL. just ridiculous the fact they can't get off blocks.

As far as scheme, is it that easy to switch from a 2 gap to a 1 gap? Just seems like everyone's reads are based on 2 gap, wouldn't changing to 1 gap have everyone having to rework their reads. With an already completely confused defense, not sure if that's going to make it better or not. But I guess, if it's motivates the DL to actually beat their man instead of playing patty cake it might be the right call.

Completely agree on Randle needing benched, he is the absolute worse offender of not being aggressive. Dude is always standing up and playing patty cake, doesn't even bother rushing the QB on most passing downs, stands back thinking he's going to jump high enough to knock down the pass or something. Ankrah doesn't tackle well, but at least he's getting there, I'm hoping he can fix the tackling then he'll be fine.

Can't be aggressive when you don't know wha the fuck is going on

Factor in that you can or will be bench for mistakes now you have a scared n confused defense

Scheme is to hard simplify
Fundamentals

I mean ucla said they only really ran like 4-5 different plays

Watching the game mad me cringe offense are light up Nebraska

I wish the coaches could find just one thing that they do well and work from there, however even that seems to be a reach, every level of the defense has been a giant cluster fuck. They been experimenting with this split 1-2 gap scheme and it's got everyone confused from just one play to the next. The best defense we have right now is hoping a receiver drops a pass or the RB slips and falls down on their own

I just read the article on ESPN and came here to post about it.

That part where some of the defenders thought they played well. I guess I know what players can be riding the bench.

BENCHED Ankrah, Randle, Mitchell, and Green.

Two defensive players that need to be on the field Gregory and Baptiste.

I will throw in Cooper, Evans and Moss for the next three. I think Valentine should be in there, and I would put in Collins(he seems to play angry).

Linebackers were expected to be green. No idea which one to put in. They just need to step up and make plays. Just one of them. Which one is hungry? Who wants to be the DUDE?

Banderas, Santos, Rose, Anderson look good and look bad. Has Afalava played? Nathan Gerry has not shown me much, my biggest disappointment but he did not play LB in high school technically.

The last Dback spot, might as well put in LeRoy Alexander since Seisay, Rose, and Jackson don't seem to want to step up.

No wonder the defense blows dead frogs. The only two that want to be out there are Gregory and Baptiste. When the other team has eleven playing against two, it is pretty easy to score.

PS: SDSU benched Zach Zenner to save him for NDSU this week. Imagine a team benching a player that is sort of hurt. Nebraska should keep Taylor benched until Northwestern or until Tommy A. proves he can't be the starter.
