The Texans like him for his ability. He's a perfect fit for their 3-4 scheme.

At Nebraska, Crick played in a four-man front. He was responsible for two gaps and his job was to keep linemen away from Lavonte David. In Houston, he's in charge of one gap.

“We're getting after that gap,” he said. “We're not sitting and reading. We're attacking.”

Crick, like most defensive linemen, needs to polish his pass-rushing skills. But he's hard to push off the ball.

“He's strong as an ox,” Smith said. “You can't run the ball on him.”

Wherever they happen to line up or what they say they are running, they still play with the same fundamentals of the 2 gap scheme. I don't think Pelini or his little sidekick know how to coach anything else

We've been running more 1 gap than 2, our DL just sucks so bad that it doesnt make a difference. Especially when our young guys are in, watch the way they attack their gaps, looks more 1 gap to me


Maliek has looked fantastic every snap hes been in, but for some reason hes sittin at like 6th in the rotation..

Thad is just.. awful, and i understand loyalty to players, but football is about playing the best guys. McMullen has outplayed Ankrah too, but Mr. MissedTackle#9 trots out there to start every game and blows every tackle.. probly the worst DL ive seen who actually has some physical talent

Bo doesnt bench his guys.. we prob will never know why

Fair enough. I agree completely with Bo and his depth charts. I'll look at more when I get a chance.

Even tho rumor has it bo plAnned to ditch it last week

What it comes down to is not having a good DL at all. RG is the only one that has serious nfl talent .

Even our lil 3-4 look doesn't work much now bc teams double team VV and that opens a huge hole.

Here's the formula to rip NU's D.....

Spead em' out and run your regular offense right at them.

Errbody having success with it now.

SDSU normally runs a power offense. Saturday they ditched their TE's and spread the blacksirts out. They still ran the power game tho. lol.

Bo's scheme to complicated for players to adjust. aka "execute".
