I don't get Kessel being called the most overrated player. Don't people have to actually think you're a good player for that to be the case? Most of the hottest takes I see are about how fat or out of shape he is or how little he cares. That doesn't sound like overrating to me.

I kind of hate the terms "overrated" and "underrated" used on this large a scale to begin with. I mean, is there somewhere we can look at "The Ratings"?

Wait a minute! There are people who still think Eric Staal is good?

I'm pretty sure the "overrated" part is largely salary-related. The top 3 combined for a cap hit of $23.25 million and produced a combined 124 points. By that metric, Patrick Kane is severely underpaid.

No surprise to see Montreal near the top of the best Canadian city to visit, heard it has quite the night life there.

Yep this is probably true. There's very few players on that list who are young, and there are none who aren't getting paid.

Yup, great to visit, but those taxes in Quebec are brutal.

He's played 4 games this year. Unless you are a concussion specialist it's unlikely that MacArthur has made any impression on you.

Something tells me that this poll had it's share of less than brilliant respondents.

***Sees Toronto SUN in the title*** Suspicions confirmed.

I think those are the player responses (there was a separate fan poll and I think the media stayed out of this one). Not that that makes the "less than brilliant" label any less accurate though I suppose

But that almost makes it even stranger that MacArthur got a vote. Seems likely that someone in the NHL has some kind of personal problem with MacArthur, and while it's certainly none of our business I can't help but wonder why and who it is.

I don't think they liked the fact that he left his cake out in the rain.

Does Randy Carlyle have any family in the league? That could explain it.

I thought impression meant in a good way? :noidea:

And... since I didn't read carefully and incorrectly assumed we were still looking at the "overrated" list, "who hates Clarke MacArthur?" is not actually a thing. But it gave dash the opportunity to make a great joke, so I'll take some solace in that I guess. On to other subjects.

I think it can technically be interpreted both ways... for instance, one could say that Shanahan made an impression on Craig Janney when they played together. Or on his mattress at least.
