I mean, Barkov is very well liked amongst Flames fans. Or are you thinking it should be more 80/20 in Barkov's favour?

Uh, yeah, the second one. I'm not sure I'd take Monahan over Horvat. Just too much regression from his highs a few years ago.

I think most people would take MacKinnon over Moneyhands (and it's likely 50/50 Barkov over Sean as well). That said, he's a constant 25+ goal scorer in a regular 82 game season and he's improving his 200 foot game (he looks faster than season).

I would prefer Barkov but primarily because he and Laine are such good friends.

Problem is, the best chip we have to include with a defenseman is a goalie, and Florida doesn't need one of those.

Monahan has had some injury issues to deal with and I think it has impacted his shot which is one of his greatest attributes.

Had his scoring kept up from before last season yeah, he'd be in that conversation with Barkov just behind Mackinnon for sure. Injuries or otherwise, what's happened since has definitely brought him down a rung.
