Ours should date back to our third year in the FBS in the 90s, but we got shut out in 2001 with a 8-4 record and a bunch of 6-6 and 7-5 teams got bowl games instead.

And yet with all that extra money, state of the art facilities, and way better resources/name recognition the PAC still finished with fewer ranked teams than the Mountain West last season. Should never happen. There’s zero excuse for that.

I don’t disagree that the PAC is a better conference. It should be for very obvious reasons. But these last four years or so have been an embarrassment.

Lastly it doesn’t matter where you start in the rankings it’s where you finish and last season was not good. Hopefully it’s better this year.
