Top 5 games on your teams schedule

Our schedule is not very strong.

In no particular order:

Iowa State - State rival
Maryland - Maryland joining B1G, interesting to see how they'll peform
Wisconsin - Probably the toughest team on Iowa's schedule, which is saying something for their poor schedule.
Nebraska - Farmageddon.
Northwestern - We've had them the past couple of years, but they usually always make it a close game.

1. UCLA: Since the Pac 12 expanded this game has decided who represents the South in the CCG every year.

2. Arizona: Rivalry game, we could go 11-1 but if that 1 is to the rats it's a failed season.

3. USC: Must win if we want any chance at repeating as Pac 12 south champions. Plus it's USC.

4. ND: Payback plus it's Notre Dame.

5. Stanford: Payback.

In chronological order:


@Stanford - 3rd game of the season and 1st PAC-12 game of the season. A win here could really set a good tone for the season.


ASU - Most experts see the South as a 3 horse race between ASU, UCLA and USC. A win here will likely be necessary to win the South. Plus, we owe them some payback for that curbstomping they handed us last year.


Arizona - Many consider them the dark horse in the South, so a win here is also necessary to win the South.


UCLA - Aside from being a rivalry game, this game could decide the South. Plus, we need to stop this 2 game winning streak they're so proud of.


Notre Dame - Rivalry game with possible national implications. Plus, they also have a 2 game streak that needs to be stopped.

Funny I picked the exact same games for ASU.

@ Nike U. (Petersens back to back curbstomps of Nike U. left scars that have never healed. Now Ducks can't hide from him anymore. Both teams could be undefeated when this game happens.)

ASU. (Demolished us last year. Looking for better one this time)

UCLA. (Hundley is back. Mora has become major thorn in UWs side)

@ Zona. (Beat them in typhoon conditions last year. They'll be looking for payback)

Well - first of all, Louisville finally got what it asked for - a Real Schedule & a Real Conference. It's a far cry from Ohio U, EKU, ... well, you know the story.

IMO, the biggies would be;

Florida State - home Oct 30th (kinda hard NOT to list the NCs at the top)
at Notre Dame - Nov 22 (never dreamed this would happen)
at Clemson - Oct 11 ( hard to imagine a game with Clemson would be #3)
Miami - right out of the box / Labor Day Weekend.
at Virginia - Sept 13 - I picked this game just slighlty over Boston College because it's our first road trip in ACC country - I'll be interested to see how our team prepares & our fans travel. As for Boston College - I'd love to make that trip in early November.

I love the Farmageddon moniker. Hilarious. It got watered down though when K-State vs ISU decided to use it too. Bastards.

Yeah, for 2 or 3 years now. As soon as they heard it attached to the Iowa-Nebraska game they started using it too. Never once had I heard it used by them before that.
