I don't like either, but even if you pretend Wallace did not start his career until 1901, he had a longer, better career.

My pick may be shaded by bias, though. Teh-Nada was SOOOO bad when he played for the Giants that that is how I see him.

That entire movie was BS. No mention of the fact that team had one of the best rotations in the game. They made it seem like the team was full of scrubs that just came together because Billy made a couple trades for specific scrubs.

Personally, I think the 2012-14 A's have more to do with Beane's GM work than the "Moneyball" team.

That being said, I don't know why people try to use Zito/Mulder as a knock on Beane. Did he not draft them? I can agree he had nothing to do with Giambi/Tejada/Chavez/Hudson and that the impacts of guys like Hatteberg are a bit exaggerated.

It's just amazing how how quickly the A's went from historically bad offense (in April/May) to having one of the best offenses in the league in 2012 (though their overall stats wouldn't reflect it, they were among the best teams in the league offensively from June onwards).
