looking at George davis' RBI numbers, he looks like he was used in the middle of the lineup... He is only 5'9, so I cant see him being a decent middle of the lineup guy in any modern baseball... Would assume he would at best be a #1 or #2... He had some good OBP seasons, but never really was good at walking...

And for those reasons I will go larkin over Davis, because Larkin was an elite top of the order guy who was good at walking...

Looking at George Davis's SB totals, I can't believe he hasn't been taken in any Mock drafts

Davis's OBP was .362 and Larkin's .371

Davis 874 walks to Larkin's 939 but Davis did have 1000 more ABs

They both walked more than they struckout, impressive numbers for both players.

Its about as even as it gets, one with a bit more power and one with more speed. As I found out with Tim Raines, people like them steals.
