The first thing I like to do in these votes is look up the underdog and try to MAKE him win... But it is hard here... Mike Schmidt has the higher career BA/OBP/Slugging/OPS dWAR, HRs, and even RBIs while having nearly 700 less plate appearances...

And its not just the career numbers, his bests seasons were also clearly better... Unfortunately this is not close, but that is really only because Schmidt was THAT good...

Evans is kind of underrated, but Schmidt was in the top 5 in the league in WAR every year for like a 15 year period. I'm not sure if any other infielders did that, outside of Hornsby or someone.
