A vastly underrated SS vs a SS that is mainly known for being in a poem. I go with Trammell here.

Agreed. Trammell had the misfortune of playing at the same time and in the same league as Cal Ripken. Otherwise, he might have gotten a little more attention. Tram still won 4 Gold Gloves, even though Cal was a media darling.

Poor Joe Tinker died on his birthday. Trammell was better in pretty much every aspect of being a baseball player.

It's an absolute joke Trammell isn't in the HOF.

Nothing to add. Trammel deserves the Hall, and he is on my ballot every year.

I am one who doesn't think trammel deserves the HOF and is not nor never will be on my list. but with that said this is not even a close competition Trammel is the clear winner

Pretty strange that there isn't a single player from that dominant 1984 Tigers team in the HOF. Jack Morris came the closest, getting about 67% of the vote one year.

Which is funny, because Morris certainly wasn't more HOF worthy than Trammel or Whitaker.

I was talking with one of my co-workers last night about how I always felt Lolich deserves the hall a lot more than Morris.
