I'm sorry people, Pippen does not belong on a top 15 list, great on one-side of the ball doesn't equal top 15. Top 25 I could go for.
One side of the ball? Pip could do it all. Anyone that can put up 40 can score.

One thing he could do, was finger roll.

If not for the coke habit, he could have been on this list.

Dude, Wilt Chamberlain AVERAGED 50 points for entire seasons. But Pippen scored 40 one time and you're saying he's the sixth best to ever touch a basketball. You seriously need to just STFU about Pippen because you're just making yourself look dumb.

Still not a top 15 or top 10. There are players that are better, more complete players.

Dude, you've never even heard of George Gervin. Magic recently said that the two best one-on-one basketball players ever were MJ and Iceman. Fact.
We are not talking about 1 on 1. Were talking about the NBA. If I recall that is a team game. I'm really curious why you think I've never heard of the Iceman?

He is great no doubt, just not better than 15 other guys in the league.

Guys the are better:

MJ
Magic
Kareem
Wilt
Shaq
Hakeem
Lebron
Bird
Russell
Oscar
Kobe

That's 11, that are no doubt in my mind easily better.

Then add:

Julius Irv
Duncan
Malone

And you could put him at 15 maybe

Pippen never lead his team to a title. He is a great player, top 50 maybe even top 25 player all time, but to say he is the 6th is just ludicrous. Hell I would say Lebron is better than Pippen seeing that he actually lead his teams to tittles instead of playing robin. Putting Pippen in a top 15 list would be like putting into a top 15 list. Both are great players, just not someone who you could expect to lead your team to a title, and that is what it is all about. That is why the greatest players are Jordan, Russell, Kareem etc. Not Wilt, Oscar. Its all about winning.

1.) Russell
2.) Kareem
3.) Jordan
4.) Bird
5.) Magic
6.) Hakeem (underrated)
7.) Shaq
8.) Duncan
9.) Wilt (just not a winner which is why he is below Duncan and Shaq, both winners)
10.) Oscar
11.) Kobe
12.) Dr J
13.) Moses Malone
14.) Lebron
15.) Jerry West

Honorable Mentions: Stockton, Barkley (very underrated. If he had one or two rings he is easily top 15. He had some of the best playoff performances of all time)

Actually going to replace West with Isiah Thomas. Totally forgot about him. Not too many people could say they beat Jordan, Larry, and Magic en route to win a championship(I know Larry had a bad back and Magic was at the back end of his career too but still pretty fucking impressive).

To be fair to Oscar, he played in a time in the league where he was tied to a single team for the vast majority of his career due to the fact that free agency didn't exist. The Royals were never anything spectacular during his time and he had to deal with the Celtics.

I have him a #6 not #1. Lebron is not there yet. Kobe will not get there. Wilt, Russell, and Oscar i did not witness play. I saw Kareem and Dr J at the tail end of their careers. I think he was better than Malone or Duncan.

He played 2nd fiddle to the GOAT. Give him a team like the Bulls and have him concentrate on scoring he would have won some titles as the leader. He did everything for the Bulls. Directed both the offense and the defense. Scored, Rebounded you name it. If you look at what he did his first year as the leader you have to conclude the guy was just a victim of circumstance. You guys are entitled to your opinions. I'm just saying hes on my team when it comes to picking an all time squad and whoever you think thats better than him I'll make sure he accompanies them anywhere they go on the floor.

Juvenile Heat "fans" have no business in this thread.

What is an Admin's job?

Someone please check Wilt's stats against the great Bill Russell please. Then come tell me how he was "brilliant." He was brilliant against 6' 4" white guys name Charles and Herman.

Sure sure, but if we could see LBJ play 1 on 1 vs MJ you can honestly tell me someone weighing 50 pounds less and 2 inches shorter would destroy LBJ? or let's put MJ vs Kareem. Sure MJ would score from the perimeter but Kareem would score every time.

Fact is Wilt has 2 NBA titles and Russell 11. If it were closer maybe I could give the nod to Wilt but it is not even close. If you want to discount titles and accolades and make this a 1 on 1 list there would not be a player under 6-10 in the top 50.

The fact that Bill even slowed him down is very impressive considering he probably gave up 5+ inches as it was probably stated earlier that Bill's height was exaggerated.

Jerry West had more talent in his socks than Isiah Thomas.

Fact is Wilt has 2 NBA titles and Russell 11.
Titles are overrated. If Lebron would have stayed in Cleveland, he would have zero titles.
