Check out who owns #1 and #2 spots and mind you that leaves out 2000-2005 D's which were great also.
And look who #3 is.....Couldn't have written it any better !!! "AFCN Rules"
And then there is one who didn't make the list, that thinks they are great...:nono:
I tried to tell them but they wouldn't listen !!!!

1. 2006 Baltimore Ravens
The 2006 Ravens were a nightmare for opposing offenses. In addition to destroying other defenses according to our numberFire metrics, they also ranked at or near the top in most traditional statistics.

I can't remember which year it was, but the 49ers gave up their first rushing TD in week 17 and was 2nd all-time in allowed rushing yards. They were strong (not one of the best though) in pass defense that year.

And what about the 2008 Lions. That defense was unstoppable.

So only 2 of the last 10 best defenses won Super Bowls. What happened to Defense Wins Championships?

Top 2 is legit for sure but is probably put 2015 Denver and Carolina in there next.

Looks like a lot of teams that should have been able to "carry any QB to a championship" that didn't.

I look at points against as the highest level of input in determining the best D.
In the last 10 years I would say Pitt, with Seattle close behind.
In the last 5 years, there is no question with Seattle holding the #1 scoring D in the last 4 straight, with year 5 at # 8 I believe.
Pretty fucking good if you ask me...which you probably won't.
I am curious to see if they can do it another year. It looks like they will have a great shot.
