As of 4:30 Pm yesterday - the normal NFL TV blackout deadline - the Colts still had about 4K tickets left. The NFL has generously given them a further 24 hours to sell out. If that still doesn't happen, then I won't be able to watch the game (Ft. Wayne is a "secondary market" for the Colts)! :(

^^^ Midwest area general retailer Meijer stepped up & bought the remaining 1200 tix this morning. They plan to give them out to Indy area military families.

Great news Andy, somebody was going to step in to ensure the game wouldn't be blacked out locally. The fact that some military families are getting tickets to the game is icing on the cake.

What happened that there were so many tickets to start with?

They didn't have a blackout all season in Indy, so how is it that they almost had one for the POs?

The divisional round game in Charlotte sold out in less than 3 minutes apparently, but PSL owners are required to buy PO tickets or they lose their PSL rights, so there were only about 7 thousand tickets on sale in the first place.

I guess the economy in NC is better than it is in Indy. People may be able to budget season tickets in and eat that cost over a few months but playoffs come around and that's a lot of money.

I just don't get how you can blackout a playoff game? How do you not sell out, like seriously

Good questions. Wish that I knew the answers. - Fear of the impending (Sat night/Sunday blizzard) weather maybe? :noidea:

I'd think you'd also get a lot of people interested who aren't season ticket holds though.

I don't have any desire to go to 8 home games a year for the Panthers (though, for the record, I watch every game, so I'm not a fair-weather fan), but even I tried to get PO tickets. Without luck. :gaah:

The weather says 30's with a chance of snow. It's a lot better than back in 1981 when some Chargers players got frostbite. I think the Chargers will put up some points, but their D just isn't good enough. When Dwight Freeney got hurt in week 2 that basically ended their pass rush. If they can't get to Dalton they've got no shot. I actually think Cincy has a very good D & if they get past the Chargers could make some noise.

I have a lot of Colt fan friends...and goodness they're breaking out every excuse possible. The solution was awesome, but I can't believe the excuses they're coming up with. Lucas Oil is a great place to watch a game, but apparently the issue is "Well, there's an IU game, and a Pacers game! blahblahblah!" Ummm...IU isn't having the best of years, the Pacers are, but it's regular season. There's enough loaded people in the suburb of Carmel alone to sell out Lucas Oil. Colts fans will always confuse/annoy me. I didn't know they existed when I was in school there for three of my four years...except the year they went to the Super Bowl of course.

San Diego will roll. This is Cincy...in the playoffs. And Andy Dalton is simply NOT GOOD. He looks good with AJ Green running about of course.

It's like a hybrid of Walmart and Target. The pricing is more like Walmart, but the environment is more like Target. It's classy AND affordable. *sigh* I miss being able to buy booze in any and every store. Damn you PA liquor laws!

I gotta go with Cincy, weren't they 8-0 at home this season? I think pix doesn't like Dalton because he's a ginger.

They are indeed undefeated at home. I think that's more coincidence than anything. They have quality wins this year, they really do...but Dalton is just a weakness. Did anyone watch his game last year by chance? It wasn't pretty.

Dalton can be inconsistant, but I really like Cincy's D. They will probably be the difference. I hope I'm wrong.
