Do people voting on RotY take postseason into account? Because Luck's stock PLUMMETED and RG3's probably went up. Shows how important he was to team. Wilson will probably still be overlooked. Still like the season he's had.

How did Luck's stock plummet? The Offensive Coordinator was taken to the hospital this morning. The O-Line played like crap & the WR's dropped several balls they should have caught.

Team loss, most definitely, but a QBR was like...28 or something.

Here's a thought: if this was a road game for the Skins, would it have been easier to pull RGIII than in a home game? Kind of like the Vikings not even suiting up Ponder last night.

Meh. When does the main act come on? This opening guy sucks.

Seattle fans and others will make this about Wilson (v Luck v. RG3), when really it was about the O-line and the D-line tonight. Wilson was competent tonight, but didn't blow me away. I don't think he's anywhere close to RG3 in talent/ability.

what i saw was a smart, smart player.
he still needs to get the ball away a touch sooner (had a couple of sacks that were avoidable tonight), but he methodically took was was available. Stepped out of the pocket at the right times, stayed in when that made sense. Q1 was a disaster, but after that.
did you see Lynch's touchdown where Wilson raced past him to lay a block near the goalline? that was intelligence, dedication, determination, and fucking magic.

I don't see this as a game where RW3 beat RGIII, because the latter was clearly fucked from the getgo. But I was pretty impressed with Wilson's effectiveness in the last 45m.

QBR is a useless stat. Did you know that Alex Smith finished 7th in the league in QBR for the season? He was so good he lost his job. Flacco finished the year 25th & guess what, he's in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Wilson was very impressive.

Wilson's a great player. I thought he played a very sound, effective game after the 1st quarter. He also had oodles of time in the pocket tonight and gaping holes to run through. He's just not on the same level as RG3 for me. Wilson is asked to play a role on a team and does it very well. RG3 is the team and did what Wilson did this year despite a less supportive cast on both sides of the ball. Not trying to take anything away from Wilson - special guy, great year, lots of things to look forward to there. Just not on the same level. Wilson takes what's there. RG3 creates it. That's just my opinion.

I don't think the Redskins O-Line played too bad. The Skins certainly didn't have any problems moving the ball in the 1st quarter. Could they have played better, sure, but RG3 was hurt going into the game & it showed in the 2nd half. His passing wasn't sharp at all. The play in which he was injured he wasn't even hit.

Flacco isn't the reason he's in the second round...obviously I have a bias, but I reaaaallly don't think he's a great QB. Being fair, I only watched the first half of the game, and neither guy looked great. Colts WRs dropping balls is surprising. They've been a solid group all year.

And I don't think you can call the Skins Oline bad when you look at their running game. I DO agree that RG3 creates space and makes more plays. I suppose you could say he's a game breaker while Wilson is more of a game manager. The Hawks are just riding high right now. I think the two Ds are fairly comparable. That's just based on games I've seen, which is few.

I agree on the breaker/manager part. Against, others don't have to agree. That's just my opinion. You saw how well that O-line looked against a good defensive line without a QB that can shift the pocket and freeze the DEs. Again, much of the running game credit goes to RG3. Not taking anything away from Morris, it's just the truth if you've watched this team almost every week like I have. The Ds are not comparable though - Seattle gave up 245 points, fewest in the NFL. The Skins gave up 388, around the top of the bottom third.

Flacco had a bad 1st half. He & Boldin lit up the Colts secondary in the 2nd half. Flacco is very inconsistant. If it weren't for a dropped ball in the endzone last year the Ravens would have beaten the Patriots & gone to the Super Bowl, he put that pass right on the money. Flacco gets a lot of heat from the media & some of it is deserved. However, today he got the job done in the 2nd half.

He just happens to fall into the "manager" category in my head. I swear, it seems like the only reason he's beaten the Steelers in his career is because of their vaunted "lob it up and hope for defensive PI" play.

It's funny you mention the "lob it up" play because that's what he did on a long play that Boldin made a great catch on. There's no doubt he's a game manager but there are probably 20 teams in the league that wish they had him.

I don't see Wilson as a game manager. The guy has a pressence about him. He makes plays. puckhead mentioned the block he made on Lynch's TD, that was something else. I don't think many QB's would have made that play because they wouldn't have put themselves in position to be their. Pete Carroll said that from day 1 of training camp Wilson acted as if he was the starting QB of the Seahawks.

Two funny jerseys at the game tonight...
(1) Washignton Sentinels Falco jersey
(2) Customized Redskins' jersey with "SNYDER" on the nameplate and instead of a number, it just had a huge $ - hilarious

Doing a little looking into the Falcons and good god what a cupcake schedule they had this year. They played 3 teams with winning records and that's it. And they got all three when they were at their worst. Denver week 2 (started the year 2-3, won last 11), Washington week 5 (started year 3-6 won last 7) and the Giants week 15 (started year 6-2, finished 3-5). I'm not saying that the Seahawks are gonna go into the Georgia Dome and walk all over the Falcons or anything like that, 13-3 (13-2 really) is extremely impressive in the NFL regardless of who you're playing but wow I have to say I did expect to see more meat on their schedule.

I have a question about the stadium.

Snyder has serious $$$$, why was his team playing on a DIRT FIELD?

They play on natural grass. Always have. It's hard to maintain grass in December and January and replacing the sod doesn't do much/any good for the same reasons.
