Bourn just signed with the Indians. Didn't see that one coming. Good signing for them, may be a decent outfield there, but I suppose they had to replace Choo.

Cleveland traded Choo & signed Swisher & Bourn. Major upgrade.

Meh. I think that's an even trade off for talent, but a big one for depth. Swisher as a 1B option too. Rumors coming out about them looking to move Stubbs now.

There's still always the potential to bring back Grady Sizemore for practically nothing. Obviously he hasn't been healthy in years and probably will continue to be hurt, but if he can be half the player he was, that may be a gamble worth taking for a small 1 year contract.

Don't get me wrong, that's possibly a top 5 OF in the MLB...I just happen to like Choo's game a lot. But I have to hate him now...silly Red.

Anyway. The Pirates signed Brandon Inge (or are close to) to a Minor League deal. Meh, why not. Depth is depth is depth.

This is what happens when your ego gets some incredibly inflated you can't stand up properly...everyone who doesn't treat you like "the star" you are gets mowed down. It's sad and pathetic.

Sportsnet was trying to make him canadas baseball hero from day 1

I always wanted the guy to be a success because he's from these parts but the guy is a real piece of work

I think that the Angels may be the team I hate the most this season...Pujols, Trout, and Hamilton? Gosh I hate that you can buy championships in baseball (or at least come close). Sure, every few years some misnomer wins, but not often enough.

...said the bitter Pirates fan.

Let's not forget that other LA based team. They've spent quite a few pesos this season as well.

I think Maple Ridge's Larry Walker needs to sit down with Langley's Brett Lawrie and talk/pound some sense into him...

To be fair, Trout is a home-grown talent and not very expensive yet. If I'm not mistaken, he still has two years before even going to arbitration. They didn't buy him, they scouted extremely well and developed him properly, which is a testament to the quality of their front office.

Trout was a rookie last year. He made the minimum.

Yeah, I just didn't know if he was Super Two eligible (one more year at minimum) or not (two more years). If he's a Super Two, he'll get four years of arbitration instead of three.

He hasn't even played 1 full season yet.

Isn't there a weird date around the middle of May where if you call up a prospect after that date the arbitration clock doesn't start ticking until the following season? I remember the Rays doing that with Evan Longoria a few years back.

How could I forget. I hate them more. And that team I actually have to watch a few times year. I think they'll crash and burn however.
