I really didn't think he'd retire...he must be taking this very hard, understandingly so. Considering he probably never gets charged with anything...this is inner guilty causing him to walk away from RACING...something guys like him live for. I wonder if this is a serious retirement or if he'll be back later this season or next season.
Funny, you guys want to /facepalm because you don't want to answer the question, which is an obvious YES. Thus not only did Tony kick the rear end out towards him, he also SPEED UP.
Hmmm, do you think speeding up right before you hit someone could have an effect on if that person is able to get out of the way in time?
You are damn right it does.
So all you want to avoid the question, deep down you know what it means.
That facepalm was like 2-3 days ago 420, NOW you reply? Of course you "hit the gas and the car speeds up" AND IF you have ever watched sprint cars, I have in person, they are basically in a full slide the entire time they are running AND accelerating out of every corner.
I really don't think Tony tried to hurt the guy, tho I hate TS via NASCAR.
KEEP IT DAM STRAIGHT 420!

4d20 aka the Hoops Armchair Expert On Everything has already been proven wrong several times on this thread. He's just trying to save face at this point.
So we really are right back at the original suggestion. Only Tony really knows what he did that night. Unless he comes clean, everyone else's opinion is a best-guess scenario.
yes it will naturally want to turn left with that much stager. it will just turn left faster by hitting the gas.
It is just one of those thing you get use to doing, You give it gas to go left and let off the gas to go right.
What led to him being hit was being a dumb ass and approaching moving vehicles on dirt while in a fit of rage. THAT's the truth here. Everything else is speculation. Pure and simple. The rear end of the car hit Ward. Witnesses have said 2 things in regards to Tony hitting the gas. 1 - that Tony fishtailed and hit him. 2 - Tony speed up right before hitting him.
BOTH of these actions are what lead to Ward being hit. Because the fish tailing of the car means it swung out in a bigger radius, which made it MORE LIKELY that the kid was hit. In addition to that, speeding up also made it MORE LIKELY that Ward was hit.
Both of those things made it harder for Ward to get out of the way in time. A person who btw, knows exactly what these cars are capable of.
These cars are able to turn left without hitting the gas, and will actually turn that way by default.
These actions have been excused by some as saying Tony may have hit the gas in an attempt to avoid him, but it's clear that those actions were not needed to avoid him, and the actions actually directly lead to him being hit.

I went to my first sprint car race when I was 5 years old.
I can only guess you don't realize the incident happened under caution, or you don't know wtf you are talking about.
Well that wouldn't be the 1st time I heard that one either. Did your mother drop you on your head more than once?
Clean the red dirt balls outta yer ears sonny.
You can speculate on his intent, my previous post was not speculation.
It's a fact that Tony Stewart fish tailed his car right before hitting him.
It's a fact that when the rear end swings out, it creates a bigger radius for the car in relation to the turn/line(thus why the front wheels didn't hit him).
It's a fact that Tony Stewart speed up right before hitting him.
It's a fact that both of those actions gave Ward less time to move and get out of the way.

Not my fault you described how the cars are in race conditions for an incident that happened while under caution with a car that was only going between 25-35mph.
So I'll repeat it. Either you didn't realize he was hit under caution at slow speeds, or you don't know what you are talking about.
No, they are not. I don't care what you've read, they aren't facts. You like to take everything said as though it was true and that's fine. I like to wait for the official word. That's me.
I cannot tell from the video if that car is fishtailing and you cannot tell from that video exactly what direction Ward was moving. It is speculation he was trying to get out of the way.
You go ahead and continue to tell people you know everything about everything, but for the rest of us I'll wait to hear it from those who have the only chance to find out, those investigating it. Unlike you, I won't be taking things read on the internet by people not doing the investigation as fact.
WTF are talking about Mr "I watched the video a 10000 times now"? Who shoved a wrench up your ass? Who cares?
