Bottom line is there is blame to go on both sides.

Tony Stewart never meant to hurt the kid, but he did gun it on purpose. His intention was obviously not to hit him.

With all due respect:

People like you are why idiots are capable of hurting themselves, suing someone else for it....

and winning.

After seeing the video a few times it looks pretty bad and even purposeful. Don't think they can prosecute criminally on this, but I'd bet Stewart pays a huge civil settlement.

Death threats? really?

you are very uninformed

Half of what you said can be said for quite a few drivers, the last half is just complete bullshit.

Really?

Do you actually have an opinion, or are you jumping on a bandwagon here?

I actually watch the sport and pay attention to what is going on. That's why I know who Tony Stewart is.

“If he ever turns down across in front of me again, I don’t care what lap it is, he won’t make it through the other end of it,” he said after a confrontation with driver Joey Logano in March 2013.

Stewart accused Logano of blocking in his car during a race in Fontana, Calif., and went after him, shoving him and threatening to run him over before their crews separated the two drivers.

Can't forget about him assaulting a photographer because he was pissed about not winning a race back in the early 2000's either.

That one was a gem as well.

Do you guys really believe tony was able to identify the person running out at him in a black suit on a dirt track at night? Then decide to run him over or throw dirt on him? That has to sound insane to you...I get that some of you saying this have never tracked a car but the last thing you're expecting is someone to be on the track. You're going fast, and you're locked into what the car ahead of you is doing, the car behind you, and how your car is handling.

People being on the track after a wreck like that is common. And it is not likely that Tony tried to run him over and kill him, more likely is he tried to send a message and things went further than expected.

No idea if Tony saw him or not, but saying that guy being on the track is the last thing you're expecting is just false. The guy in front of Tony said he didn't see him until the last second. Another driver came out and thinks it wasn't an accident and that he could see the guy plain as day.

They were under caution.

They were just jogging around the track.

Again, I'm not blaming it on Tony Stewart.....but watch the video. It doesn't look good.

Did you miss the part where it happened under caution and the police said Tony was doing about 25-35MPH at the time?

Are you just blindly defending Tony Stewart?

If his dumb ass wasnt trying to confront him on the track, he wouldnt have gotten hit. No one is innocent

Exactly.

There should be no sides taken on this situation. It just drives me crazy how people always gotta pick a team.

I doubt you'll find anyone who disagrees about that.

I've been watching NASCAR for around 25 yrs and I have seen my share of fights over the years.

Gordon vs Kenseth
Harvick vs Busch
Jimmy Spencer vs Kurt Busch
Harvick vs Biffle
ARE THESE GUYS ALL RAVING LUNATICS TOO?

Ive also seen my fair share of drivers purposely spinning out another driver that couldve caused serious injury. Does Edwards v Brad K at Atlanta ring a bell? I guess he is a raving lunatic too huh?

And don't get started on the "threats" you can go onto youtube and bring up a wide selection of drivers "threatening" to wreck another driver. Not just Tony.

You claim to be a NASCAR fan but given your statements I am beginning to doubt it.

BTW: Quoting the Daily Mail is like quote Wiki.....:pound:

Not a NASCAR fan in the slightest so no, I'm just being realistic. They seemed to be going much faster than that.

People aren't on the track all the time. They especially aren't coming at your car.

So now that you know he threatened to run over Logano you are just changing the subject to how other drivers are as psycho as he is.

You told me I lied about him threatening to kill anyone before.

I didn't lie. Research it. Don't just talk.

Oh, and why didn't you discount my second source?

Drivers do this all the time. Even Tony Stewart has done this, as I posted a video earlier with him throwing his helmet at Matt Kenseths car.

There was even an article on it the other day, and they have talked about it multiple times on ESPN and other sources among drivers, and how emotions take over common sense in that regard often and why.

Doesn't remove the part the kid played in things or anything, but saying it's the last thing you expect is just wrong. Personally, it doesn't seem to me like you realized the caution was out when the incident happened.
